Many teenagers and young adults, like a lot of older adults, struggle in social situations. Particularly, many teenagers are shy, don’t understand what it means to be sociable, and struggle to have meaningful conversations. To the average teenager, conversation with peers of the same sex means gossip, and conversations with the opposite sex means dating or something related.
